The Hurricanes Elite organization is hosting a skills camp on February 18th 2012 for 10u, 12u, 14u players, with an optional tryout for our 99' 14u team, if interested. My daughter (6/98) is a two season bracket level pitcher who is looking for a 12u or 14u team for the fall and beyond that will provide her with both a challenge and an opportunity to win. She has a variety of pitches and had her fastball clocked in November 2010 at 56mph. She can also throw change-up, curve, drop, screwball and "moon" rise ball. She does need work on her battling skills as we have been concentrating mostly on her pitching. My daughter is NOT a harsh, nasty, spiteful player like we have seen in travel ball. She is a good girl and needs to be on a team that has a high level of ethics and morals. She is quiet but warms up easily and has the strong desire to win. We live in the Southport area of North Carolina but can travel to the Myrtle Beach and Wilmington areas for the right team and the right coach. She is currently on a competitive softball team in the Myrtle Beach area but is not being utilized to her full capabilities. Also the coaches are not "player friendly" coaches.
